I Myrna am the mother of Angel’s 9 yr old daughter. We didn’t have a great relationship due to his disease. I still stood by him and became his Health proxy. Angel had heart surgery for two heart valves. Nonetheless, due to his disease he was unable to live a normal life. He was back and forth from the hospital. The last time I received a call from the hospital was on July 13th of 2023, to inform me that he was there again. 3 days later I spoke with him and he was doing a little better. On July 20th they found him on the side of the road deceased. Cause of death was a heart attack. Sadly I was not notified by the hospital or the Medical Examiners office that he had passed. I was called from the Shelter he was staying at to share their condolences. 6 days after he passed was the first time I heard of it. I would like for you to know who Angel was and what he represented. He was a wonderful father and an amazing human being. Angel will give you the shirt off his back if it came to it. He was definitely loved by so many and leaves behind a 9 year old daughter who loves her father so much, 2 sons and a grandson. He meant so much to his children and to those whose lives he had the chance to touch. He brought not just love to so many but joy and laughters on very rainy days. Though our intimate relationship did not workout I could not come to a point in life where I would let him go. I knew it could be easy for anyone else to take advantage. At times I’d call to check up on him and make sure he was fine. Angel has gone through so much in life that the best thing I can do is try. He was the love of my life and the father of my 9 year old. So I stuck around to help out. Unfortunately I did not see this happening any time soon and now his Son is left to pick up the pieces and because i have never let go of him there is no way I can leave his son with a burden of loosing his father and having a bill to pay. I made a promise to assist as much as I could and sadly we don’t have the funds to give Angel a proper funeral and burial as he deserves. Anything you can help with is greatly appreciated.
