Angel's obituary

YOUR WINGS WERE READY; OUR HEARTS WERE NOT

Angel was brought into this world an angel by name, and on March 25, 2026, she left this world an angel by God’s calling. Angel’s incomparable strength and boundless love was a testament to the power of faith and the resilience of the human spirit.

A Mother’s Heart... A Warrior’s Spirit... A Life of Kindness, Love & Joy

To Angel, her children, Kenzie and Khi, were the center of her universe. Being a mother was not just her role; it was her strength and her superpower. Everything she did was rooted in her devotion to them, and she took immense pride in watching them grow, pouring every ounce of her love into their lives.

For many years, Angel fought a long, fierce battle with kidney disease. She was undoubtedly one of the strongest women to walk this earth, facing every challenge with a courage that was inspiring and left us speechless at times. Even on the difficult days when dialysis drained her physically, she remained energetic, bubbly, and positive. Her light never dimmed, and her smile, humor and laughter remained a constant source of comfort to those who truly knew her.

Angel was the kind of person you only had to meet once to know her heart. She was a natural helper, always ready to do whatever she could for a friend or a stranger in need. Above all, she cherished her family and friends, seizing every opportunity to spend time with the people she loved- she was at her happiest when her circle was gathered around her.

Gone but NEVER forgotten

Angel has gone home to be reunited with those who preceded her in death: her beloved grandparents, Levonia & Richard Bonner; her aunt, Deborah Hills, her uncle Bobby Smith Sr. her cousin Stacey Horsey, as well as her older sister Janel Brown and father Thomas Brown

Her memory and strength will be carried forward by those who survive her: her cherished children, Makenzie Riley and Mekhi Goodie; her mother and stepfather, Elaine and David Copeland Sr.; her older brother, Darian Collins, Sr.; her younger sister, Miranda Jones and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and caring friends.

While our family’s circle has been broken in a massive way and our world has shifted forever, we remain a family of strong faith. We find peace in knowing that Angel is no longer in pain and is now resting in eternal peace.

Angel will be missed beyond measure and loved dearly every single day. We pray that she continues to watch over all of us, guiding us with the same fierce love she showed us here on earth.
