Andy was always a familiar face on Locust Walk that I enjoyed being able to stop and chat with, even if briefly between classes. I also truly appreciate that when I got laid off from my job in January 2023, Andy was willing to have a call with me to discuss his job at Apple at the time, and help me in any way he could. He really didn't have to, since it had been a bit since we had last spoken/since Penn, but I will always be grateful that he set aside time to meet with me and help. Biggest condolences to Andy's family and friends.

When I first reached out to Andy for an assignment and advice, I was a nervous wreck. I didn't know the first thing about how to cold outreach, and honestly expected to be ghosted by him. Truth be told, he absolutely could've done just that, but he didn't. He took time out of his already busy schedule to speak with me, and I'm forever grateful that he did. From that one phone call alone, he became more than someone I can just relate to in terms of school, professional aspirations, and hobbies: he became my mentor. Whenever I had questions or needed advice, he would always respond with wisdom and honesty. Even if he was busy with his own work, he would always find the time and effort to respond back, and that reply email from him would always make my day. He was truly someone that I looked up to and aspire to be, and it was absolutely devastating to hear his passing so suddenly. I understand in life, it's always too late for regrets, but I wish I could've called him one more time and just catch up with his life instead of sending emails. My absolute condolences to Andy's family.
