Dear Diane, Paul and the entire Thomas Family,
There are no words to explain my deepest condolences. Reading all the memories, I only wish that I had known Andrew. He surely accomplished much in his life. To leave a legacy of love, kindness, talent, sincerity and compassion is something most strive for. Such a life well lived. Knowing the love and closeness of all our Thomas family, I am sure he was welcomed with so many open and loving arms from all our loved ones. Know that the David Thomas family is thinking of you all with love, thoughts and prayers.
Love Always, Jennie McKinney Macdonald

"hey nick. I'm in andrew's discord sever. I'm alan, and I worked with andrew at shapeways for about 3 years. we were both laid off at the same time too. I kept up with him sporadically through the years, but reconnected in late 2020 when I brought him into social vr, and we hung out a few times in altspace. that's when he invited me to the server. I only saw gio's post today on fb, so I spent a good part of today in shock. I can't imagine how you and his other family members and close friends are going through. I am so sorry. Andrew was someone I admired so much. the last long bit of time I spent with him in AltspaceVR, he was talking about the game he was still brainstorming about at the time. I loved the way he thought/concepted and the way he talked about what he was creating. I am grateful for have knowing him, and being someone who he inspired"

"It was a joy to help bring Andrew’s game to life, he was so supportive as a collaborator. Hope the family’s doing ok, he was a great dude and I loved working and hanging with him" - John Fio (Shillelagh OST producer)

"Andrew and I met in a shared online community and have spent the past year making each other laugh with an art project he and I started on Instagram. I truly consider him a friend. The writing accompanying the project was initially published online, but will now also be a part of a publication that will be presented tomorrow at the New Museum. I won't be there myself because I live in the Netherlands, but some of the people there want to briefly remember him"

We took a red eye to Puerto Rico and our flights landed at (I think) 6am, but we couldn't check into the hotel until afternoon - so what were a bunch of college kids to do? We all changed into swimsuits in the hotel lobby, then went to the beach all morning. I remember we were marveling at how empty and beautiful the beach was - to be fair, it was probably empty because it was 6:30am!

2007, "Mermania" - Rich Hall
I met Andrew freshman year at BU in this exact dorm room on Floor Five in Rich Hall, which started everything. What I will remember and miss most was his laugh and just how often he laughed. So I only thought it appropriate so share some pictures where you can see his big smile or him laughing at something stupid we said or did.
