Andrew's obituary
Andrew Parker Shrock, of Reno, Nevada, age 29, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2024. He was born June 12, 1995, in Orlando, Florida, to Paul Shrock and Tiffany (Modesitt) Shrock. Andrew worked as a team member at Costco, in Carson City, Nevada, where his vibrant smile and strong work ethic made him a favorite among shoppers and coworkers.
Though only 29 at the time of his death, Andrew affected many people in his lifetime. His bright energy and witty humor captivated those around him, especially his two younger siblings, Mackenzie (Shrock) Sanders, and Sean Shrock. Andrew and his siblings were best friends, with their closeknit relationship formed by happy childhood memories and a shared love for snowboarding.
Snowboarding was Andrew’s greatest passion. Boasting a personal record of 76 days in one season (before several injuries sidelined him two years in a row) and displaying an impressive array of over a dozen snowboards in his room, Andrew lived to be on the mountain.
Andrew’s passion for snowboarding translated into a general zeal for everything he set his mind to. He was an avid mountain biker, and he loved loud music, evidenced by his enormous car audio system he wired himself. The only thing he loved more than his hobbies was his family, who relocated to Reno, Nevada to help fuel his passion for winter sports.
Andrew brought joy and laughter wherever he went, and his passing will be mourned deeply by everyone who knew and loved him.
A private memorial service will be held Sunday, November 10, 2024 at his family home in Reno, Nevada.
