Andrew's obituary

Andrew Donald Nonahal

November 24, 1991 – January 24, 2026

Detroit, Michigan

Andrew Donald Nonahal passed away on January 24, 2026. He was 34 years old.

Born on November 24, 1991, in Detroit, Michigan, Andrew was raised in a loving family in West Bloomfield. He attended University of Detroit Jesuit High School before graduating with the Class of 2010 from West Bloomfield High School. His childhood was filled with love, laughter, adventure, and a passion for club soccer, which he proudly shared with his father.

Andrew loved travel and culture, spending summers in Florence, Italy, his father’s hometown and where his parents met. He also cherished trips to California with family, celebrating Persian traditions, and he fulfilled his dream of working alongside his father in the last months of his life.

Above all else, Andrew cherished time with his family. He had a deep capacity to love and left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. He was a loving partner to his girlfriend, Tori, and a devoted father to his beloved son, Blayne, whose life he filled with unconditional love and who was the light of his life.

Andrew is survived by his grandfather, Donald Walker; his uncle, Donny Walker; his grandmother, Dokhi; his father, Omid Franco Nonahal; his mother, Kristen Nonahal; his uncle, Iman Nonahal; his aunt, Navid Nonahal; his sisters, Arianna and Alyssa Nonahal; his cousins, Donya and Delbar Nonahal; his girlfriend, Tori Korthals; and his beloved son, Blayne Nonahal.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 31st, at Desmond & Sons Funeral Home in Royal Oak, MI, with visitation from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Andrew’s kind heart and unwavering devotion to his family and son will always be remembered. He will be missed beyond words and loved forever in our hearts.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made in Andrew’s honor to a trust established for his son, Blayne.
