Andrew's obituary
With heavy hearts, we share that Andrew James Munro, 32, of Cranston, Rhode Island, passed away unexpectedly on February 19, 2026. He was a beloved father, son, brother, partner, and friend whose loss is deeply felt by all who knew and loved him.
Andy made an impression on everyone lucky enough to meet him. A seeker of adventure, he had a deep love for snowboarding and could often be found heading to the mountains after every snowfall in search of fresh powder. He also loved music and, over the last two years of his life, taught himself to play both guitar and keyboard. Andy loved the Fourth of July, Halloween, and anything that brought fun and celebration. He adored his loyal dog, Ace, who was his steady companion.
Andy grew up in Norfolk, Massachusetts, surrounded by family and friends. As a child, he was thoughtful and sensitive, openly sharing his thoughts and worries. Kite flying and beach trips on windy days were always a challenge for him, as he held a firm belief that nothing should ever be allowed to blow away. Even as a baby, just five weeks old, Andy showed his gift for connecting with others and delighting in the laughter and joy of the family he was born into. He loved being part of everything and everyone around him. In his younger years he became something of a “rock star” at Mount St. Charles, and throughout his life he gathered lifelong friends around bonfires, through celebrations, and through life’s challenges.
Andy was a skilled carpenter and the proud owner of AJ&J Construction. Through his work, he left behind beautiful craftsmanship throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Friends and family will continue to see and appreciate his work in their homes for many years to come.
Above all else, Andy loved his son, Jaxson, more than anything in the world. Being Jaxson’s father was the role he cherished most. Their bond was filled with laughter, adventure, and unconditional love. Together they explored the Puerto Rico rainforest, held wrestling matches, and raced each other while pretending to be Pokémon.
Andy is survived by his beloved parents, Cyril Munro and Donna Razeto; his cherished partner, Kristen; his sister, Molly, with whom he shared a lifelong and unwavering bond; and countless loyal friends whom he considered brothers.
Andy will be remembered for his bright mind, his goofy humor, and the way he could light up any room with his energy. To know Andy was to love him. His memory will live on through the many lives he touched. He truly was one of a kind.
In the words of his son, Jaxson: “I will always love Daddy and his memories will be in my heart forever.”
A celebration of life to honor Andy will be held on March 22 at Light on the Bay, 1 Bay Avenue, Warwick, Rhode Island from 1-4pm.
