Andrew's obituary
Andrew Lam, born in 1963, passed away in the early morning of Nov 26th, 2021 in San Francisco. He is survived by his brother’s family, Arthur & Gloria and his nephew Philip and his sister’s family, Gwendolyn & Stanley and his nephews Alvin and Duston.
Andrew was born in Hong Kong, China and came to America as a child with the family and was a lifelong resident of San Francisco. Andrew attended University of San Francisco and was a successful real estate broker for decades.
Andrew was a quiet strong man. He was also a selfless man who loved his nephews, family and friends. He is ready and willing to help everyone he knows with whatever the requests. He will go out of his way to do the above and beyond.
Andrew especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and genuinely interested in getting to know everyone he loves. His hobbies? Hong kong comic books (老夫子,三国演义) and Kung Fu books 金庸武俠小說 & movies and listening to Chinese music and watching all those Chinese TV drama and current American movies from the comfort of his home.
He also knows Fung Shiu using “law poon” and turtle shell to check and verify timing and place for do’s and don’ts.
Andrew was well versed in the martial arts in Tai Chi, Wing Chuen and just plain old boxing. He preferred rice and yellow noodles and not potatoes or bread. His many favorite foods included clams, salted fish, geoduck, steak, beef tendons, ox tongue, Vietnamese pho, etc. He also loves to snack on popcorn, sweet tarts, saltine crackers , …. along with his favorite Ti Kuan Yin tea.
