A sensitive, loving and beautiful soul, Andrew’s sudden passing on March 12th, 2023 left the world a little darker. He did not have an easy life, due in large to things out of his control, and suffered for many years with management of Bipolar Disorder and periods of addiction. No matter how many tried to discourage or shame him, he persisted at finding stability and maintaining his sobriety. He was a free spirit and was not ashamed of his struggles, and would not want them hidden in his passing. He was loved by so many, leaving behind a legacy of resilience, love, and creativity. Andrew was funny, brilliant, and compassionate. He loved music, physics, art, the ocean, and all the dogs he encountered in his too short life. But mostly he loved those who never judged or gave up on him. Andrew has many dreams that he can no longer see out, but the large group of friends he leaves behind will continue on in his memory ensuring that somehow, some way, his dreams will be fulfilled. His memory is for a blessing to all that knew him, loved him, and were able to be loved by him. While we mourn the loss of him and all the things he will no longer be able to do, we were left the gift of the impact he has had on us. He inspired many and loved hard, and that will live on through all the people that remain who will continue to pass that love on for him. But more than anything, he is and will forever be missed and deeply loved.
Rest now, Joffe. The hard part is over. You always mattered and were always more loved than you knew.
