Drew's obituary
Drew Foust, 46, passed away on November 20, 2025, in Palmetto, Florida. Born on August 10, 1979, in Bradenton, Florida, Drew spent his life rooted in the Sunshine State, where he built a career, a family, and a legacy of warmth and humor.
With nearly three decades of experience in the computer science and information technology field, Drew was a dedicated professional who most recently served as a contractor with the Department of Veterans Affairs. His commitment to his work reflected not only his technical expertise but also his desire to contribute meaningfully to those who served the country. He and his friend/business partner recently began a mobile golf simulator business with dreams to turn it into a brick and mortar location for their community to share in their love of the game.
Drew’s quick wit and intelligence were hallmarks of his personality. He had an uncanny ability to lighten any room with a well-timed joke or clever remark. Those who knew him often found comfort in his presence—he had a gift for making people feel at ease through laughter and genuine connection.
Outside of work, Drew found joy in many pursuits. He was an avid golfer and loved spending time on the water boating. A passionate sports enthusiast, he enjoyed both soccer and football. Above all else, Drew cherished time spent with his family—whether sharing stories around the dinner table or enjoying travel and adventures together.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Breana Foust; his sons, Silas Foust and Everett Foust; his parents, Sharon and Wesley Foust; his brothers, Michael (Oanh) Foust and Darryl (Joanna) Foust; and his aunts Sheila (Jeff) Delson, Kay (Wayne) Petersen, Jane (Bruce) Scott, and Nancy (Brian) Watterson; brother-in-laws Ross (Britney) Borlase and Alex Borlase; nephews Matthew, Ryan, Carter, Rowen, and Renic; nieces Camryn, Carley, and Valencia; and numerous cherished cousins, extended family, and lifelong friends.
Drew was preceded in death by his grandparents Carl and Dorothy Foust.
Drew’s memory will live on through the laughter he inspired and the love he shared. May his legacy bring comfort to all who knew him.
