Obituary - Andrew “Ace” Duran

Andrew “Ace” Duran, 56, of Boyle Heights, Los Angeles, CA, passed away on August 30, 2025. He died after months long battle with cancer.

Andrew Duran was born in White Memorial Hospital in Boyle Heights (CA) on January 21, 1969. He was known to his friends as ‘Ace’. He spent all of his life in Boyle Heights and attended Soto Street School, Hollenbeck Junior High & Roosevelt High School. He enjoyed working in construction, especially working on movie / TV sets and at Disneyland. He loved his family & was a loyal friend.

Andrew is survived by his wife of 30 years, Fernanda Flores Duran, their children Andrew “Manny”, Katherine, & Cristina and son Christopher; grandchildren, Noah & Darlene; siblings Juan Carlos, Diana, John, Joseph & Edward Duran, as well as many friends and extended family members who will miss him dearly. Andrew was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Maria de Los Angeles Duran (nee Molina).

A funeral mass will be celebrated at Saint Isabel Church (918 S Soto St, Los Angeles, CA) followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery (4201 Whittier Blvd, Los Angeles, CA) on Friday, October 10, 2025.
