How you can help

Mr. Andrew J. Douglas was a Senior Officer Specialist at FCI Tallahassee. A Veteran of the US Army, Officer Douglas served his country, domestically and abroad, not only in uniform, but also as a Federal Law Enforcement Officer for the Federal Bureau of Prisons. As a Senior Officer Specialist, he exemplified the core values of the Bureau of Prisons. As he was such an experienced officer, he was often the Officer in Charge (OIC) of bus transportation operations. Officer Douglas’ passion for correctional services and bus operations led to a past time hobby of handcrafting replica-model BOP buses, which he often gifted to retirees and other agency employees. He was well liked by his peers and exemplified the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, respect and correctional excellence. Regrettably, his watch ended on November 6, 2019, as he suffered a sudden cardiac event while doing what he loved and was so passionate about, driving the agency transportation bus. Contribute
