Andres's obituary

Andres R. Tavel, 87, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 4, 2018, in Flagstaff, Arizona surrounded by his loving family and his favorite Mozart tunes.

Andres was an accomplished scholar, Civil Engineer, devout Catholic and classical music aficionado. He emigrated to the United States from La Paz, Bolivia with his immediate family in 1981, sacrificing his culture, language and social status for his children. His intellect, humor, generosity, and devotion to his family will always be remembered.

He leaves behind five adult children and their families:

Son - Carlos Andres and Cynthia Tavel and their three children, Daniel, Sean, and Andrew
Daughter - Patricia and Kendall Broom and their two children: Grandson, Nicholas (daughter, Natalie, great-granddaughter of Andres); Granddaughter, Kristen and David Chisholm (sons David Jr. and Logan, great grand-sons of Andres)
Daughter - Maria and Bill Marsh and their two children, Grandson, Ethan and wife, Brynn and Granddaughter, Allyson
Son - Luis and Heather Tavel
Daughter - Sandra Tavel and her partner, Chirag Patel

He also leaves behind a large community of extended family and lifelong friends in Bolivia, as well as all over the world. Andres was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Nancy T. Tavel, who passed away on April 22, 1999.

Services will take place at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 12801 W. 44th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033 on January 11, 2019, two days shy of his 88th birthday.

El Ing. Raúl Andrés Tavel Deheza, de 87 años de edad, falleció pacíficamente el día martes 4 de diciembre del 2018 en Flagstaff, Arizona, rodeado de su amorosa familia y escuchando sus canciones favoritas de Mozart.

Andrés fue un hombre muy culto, ingeniero civil, devoto católico y aficionado a la música clásica. Emigró a los Estados Unidos desde La Paz, Bolivia con su familia en 1981, sacrificando su cultura, su idioma y estatus social para el bien de sus hijos. Siempre será recordado por su intelecto, sentido de humor, generosidad y devoción a su familia.

Deja atrás a cinco hijos adultos y a sus familias:
Hijo: Carlos Andrés y Cynthia Tavel y sus tres hijos, Daniel, Sean y Andrew.
Hija: Patricia y Kendall Broom y sus dos hijos: Nieto, Nicholas (hija, Natalie, bisnieta de Andrés); Nieta, Kristen y David Chisholm (hijos David Jr. y Logan, bisnietos de Andrés)
Hija - Maria y Bill Marsh y sus dos hijos, Nieto, Ethan y esposa, Brynn y Nieta, Allyson
Hijo - Luis y Heather Tavel
Hija - Sandra Tavel y su compañero, Chirag Patel

También deja atrás una grande comunidad de familiares extensos y amigos de por vida en Bolivia, así como en todo el mundo. Su difunta esposa, Nancy Trujillo De Tavel, falleció en abril de 1999.

Los servicios se llevarán a cabo en Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 12801 W. 44th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033, E.E.U.U., el viernes 11 de enero de 2019, dos días antes de que hubiera cumplido los 88 años.
