Andrea's obituary
Born in Lake Forest, Illinois, in 1946, Andrea followed her love of children into a teaching career. Little did she know how prophetic the song she had to perform to get her degree would be. The song? My Home's In Montana.
Even though she had to live by her beloved ocean near Seattle before moving to Montana she finally took a summer sojourn to Whitefish where she met Wendell working at a rock and roll bar - the Remington. They began living together that fall making a spark of love burn high and bright for over 37 years.
That spark was fueled by their daughter, Aericka, who danced at their wedding the next year in Virginia City, Montana. Five Great Danes over the years added to their love and respect for each other and nature.
Whether teaching pre-school, working with Wendell in the law office, doing story hours in libraries and on public radio, traveling to all parts of Montana to cheer on Aericka in softball, soccer, volleyball, choir and band events or going to and hosting First Light Dance mornings, Andrea moved through life with grace and love for SO many people, places and things.
Water, trees, rocks and wind. Andrea. The dancing never stopped.
