Andrea's obituary

In Loving Memory of Andrea Claxton

March 13, 1967 – November 15, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Andrea Claxton, 58, of Corsicana.

Raised in Mabank by her loving parents Owen and Virginia Wright, Andrea was a proud member of the Panthers Marching Band and a member of the Class of ’86. She dedicated her life to her family, finding her true calling as a wife, mother, and grandmother.

Those who knew Andrea knew she had a creative soul. Whether she was crafting gifts, playing the piano, raising her chickens, or watching her favorite classic westerns with her dog Tonto, she found joy in the simple things. Above all, she lived for her grandchildren and loved bragging on them and their sports accomplishments.

She leaves behind her husband of 17 years, David Claxton of Corsicana, Texas; her son Caleb Meadows, his wife Holly Meadows and their son Paxxton Meadows of Malakoff, Texas; her daughter Shelly Williams, her husband Clinton Williams Jr., their children Peyton, Aubre, Dustyn, and Carsyn “Lane” Williams of Canton, Texas; her step-son Dakota Claxton of Arkansas; her step-daughter Gracie Claxton and their children of Arkansas; her brother Dennis Wright of Mabank, Texas; Neice Tiffany Barrett, husband Dustan Barrett, and their children Karissa and Chandler Barrett of Mabank; her sister Stacy Van Cleave, husband Glen Van Cleave, and their children Jennifer, Rendie and Jack “Ethan” Van Cleave of Big Sandy, Texas; and many other extended family. We will forever cherish the memories of family cookouts, her piano playing, and the laughter we shared.
