Andrea (Andie) Joan Schulke Sturgis was born in St. Paul, Minnesota and passed in her beautiful home overlooking Beaver Lake, Arkansas. She is survived by her three children Anna, Lara, and Joe and her partner James Gross. She was a lover of nature, laughter, travel, connecting with family and friends as well anything that sparkled or chimed.

Andie was truly worldly, working in countries as far apart as Japan and Germany. She served in the Peace Corps in South Korea and studied in Austria. She has been from the top of mountains in Europe to the beaches in Hawaii.

She was also a devout meditator and relentless pursuer of peace. She brought joy, guidance and perspective to all she touched through her many years of counseling and friendship. She spent rich years hiking, kayaking, cooking, reading and seeking wisdom through spiritual retreats. We honor her memory and all that she represents in the ideals of love, peace and healing suffering in our world.
