Anaiya's obituary
With heartfelt sorrow, we announce the passing of Anaiya "Nainer" Dehn-Smith, who left this world too soon on February 20, 2025. Born on November 10, 1999, Anaiya touched the lives of many with her bright, unique, and loving personality. Her rare essence and the lessons she shared about what true friendship means continue to reverberate in the hearts of those who knew her.
She is survived by her beloved spouse, Taylor Smith, and her loving parents, Shiloe Worman and Howard Dehn. Her siblings Dorothy Dorsett, Devlin Limpahan, and Malina Worman mourn her loss, together with her brother-in-law Gaige Dorsett, and her nephews Gaige and Dustyn Dorsett, and niece Lily Dorsett. Her grandmother Sharon Pilayo, Aunt Candy Loppnow, Grandfather Ellery Limpahan, in-laws, Jesse Smith and April Hodges, and step-father Thomas Worman also survive her.
Anaiya graduated from Del City High School in 2018. A true bon vivant, she loved a variety of foods, from Guava bread and lilikoi butter to macadamia nuts with spam and rice. Water, matcha, boba, and energy drinks were among her favored beverages. Anaiya found solace in the spellbinding stories of Sarah J Maas' Throne of Glass series. Her musical taste was as diverse as her personality, with Pierce the Veil, Fallout Boys, and Taylor Smith on top of her playlist.
Anaiya was a fan of TV shows like Bridgerton, Supernatural, Marvel, and DC. Her favorite movies included Harry Potter and Grandma's Boy, while her favorite pieces of art were everything. She enjoyed simple games like UNO, D&D, cornhole, and board games. Anaiya loved watching concerts and comedy shows alongside her husband. In her downtime, Anaiya could be found reading, crafting, or gardening—activities that brought her joy.
Her favorite places to visit were anywhere there was family or the local Hubbly Bubbly Hookah bar. Her preference for the colors black and red mirrored her bold and vibrant personality. Anaiya’s accomplishments included graduating high school, finding her lifemate, becoming a skilled hookahologist, and getting married. Her legacy—the imprint that her footprints have left upon our hearts—will never fade.
Join us in a celebration of Anaiya's life on April 17, 2025, at 6:00 PM at Arcadia Lake Osage Pavillion. As we say goodbye, we find comfort in the Hawaiian phrase, "Ho'omaluhia a hui hou Nani," which means "Rest in peace until we meet again." A fitting farewell for a remarkable woman who will be sorely missed.
