Personal note from Ana's Sister, Diana

Many of you are curious to know what happened. Please note, we do not wish to be asked questions regarding this section. We are sharing all we know. If the information is absent, we are overwhelmed trying to get answers ourselves. We kindly ask not to be burdened with questions we do not have the answers to.

Our sweet girl was headed north to Kingwood for her friend's daughter's baptism. An intoxicated man decided to go south on the northbound side of the freeway in efforts to take his own life. At around 3:33 PM, the individual struck our babygirl head-on with a large pick-up truck. Kind Samaritans tried to assist after the impact and found no pulse on our sweet girl. Medical professionals believe her last breath was at the moment of impact. We found out by the automatic message iPhone sends out when it detects a car crash. PD never contacted, and it took about two hours for us to find her and confirm she was deceased. The man is alive and in custody. The DA's office suggests the murder trial will take about 3 years. We are not angry, we are in pain.
