Dear friends and family of AmySue,
We look forward to gathering tomorrow in celebration of AmySue.
Here are a few notes and reminders regarding the events for you:

SERVICE begins at 1pm at First Presbyterian Church: 1031 N. Garden St. Bellingham, WA 98225

• Please plan enough time to find parking and get settled.

• Parking map can be downloaded here: https://www.fpcbellingham.org…
(you will likely need to copy and paste this link into a new browser window)

• There is handicapped parking available in front of the church on N. Garden (use ramp to access front doors), and near the downstairs door off alley (use elevator to access sanctuary).

• AmySue requested that guests wear blue (navy was her favorite).

• She also requested that guests bring white flowers and greenery (cut, unwrapped). We will collect flowers from you upon arrival to place in large arrangements at the service.

RECEPTION will immediately follow the service at Hotel Leo in their Crystal Ballroom: 1224 Cornwall Ave, Bellingham, WA 98225.

• Hotel Leo is located 0.4 miles (6 blocks; approximately 10 minute walk) from the church. Guests wanting to walk over may leave their cars parked at the church.

• Metered street parking is available on the blocks surrounding Hotel Leo.

• The Commercial Street Garage, located 2 blocks from Hotel Leo at 1300 Commercial Street, is also available and has the same rates as meters.

• Appetizers, desserts, coffee, tea and lemonade will be served at the reception.

Obituary

AmySue Buckley Leonhardt, beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, teacher, and dear friend to many, passed away on January 23, 2025, at home in Bellingham, WA, days after celebrating her 60th birthday. AmySue's vibrant spirit and zest for life enriched all who knew her, even during her recent years dealing with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).

She was born on January 19, 1965, on Mercer Island, WA, the only daughter of James and Joan Buckley (née Boyer) …
