Amy Rankin unexpectedly passed away on January 31, 2023, having been born just 49 years prior on January 21, 1974. Her vibrant life, a passion for saving animals, baking and a devotion to her family, will be remembered by all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Ashlee Laraway, whom she welcomed into the world on February 4, 1999. The bond shared between mother and daughter was immeasurable, a celebration of life's most precious moments. She is also survived by her father, Dale Dymond, her step-mother, Linda Dymond, her aunt, Donna Fowler, and her grandmother, Francis Rankin. Each of her family members will forever cherish the memories they shared with Amy.
Amy was predeceased by her grandparents, Edith Dymond, Paul Rankin, and Walter Dymond. Their memory lived on in Amy, and now, her spirit joins theirs in peaceful rest.
In 1993, Amy began her career at Price Chopper, a position that enabled her to channel her strengths and spread her positivity. She loved working at Price chopper in the bakery department. She was with the company for 15 years. With her favorite cooking and baking shows often playing in the background, Amy made her home a warm and welcoming space, filled with the tantalizing scents of home-cooked meals and baked goods.
Amy was also a devoted reader, known to lose herself in the pages of horror and thriller novels. This love for suspense and intrigue often colored her conversations and added depth to her personality. You could also find her in the living room watching horror movies.
We remember Amy not just for her passions and her career, but for her dedication to causes she cared about, including animal conservation. Her commitment to these causes and her ability to instill this passion in those around her is a testament to her character and her caring heart.
