Amy's obituary
Amy JoAnn (Matto) Lake passed away peacefully in her sleep on the evening of June 23rd, 2025, at her home in Seffner, Florida. She has been reunited with her parents, Joseph and Maxine Matto, and eldest sister Gail (Matto) Cannon. Amy is survived by her husband Carl Lake; daughters Emily (Lake) Sepulveda and Lauren Lake; her granddaughter Esme Sepulveda; and her older sister Lynn (Matto) Selleck.
Born on August 13, 1962, in Bradford, Pennsylvania, Amy graduated from Bradford Area High School and went on to attend Villanova University. She later moved to Tampa, Florida where she met and married her husband. In their 34 years of marriage, they had two daughters. Amy’s greatest joy was being a mother, but becoming a grandmother three years ago brought her unparalleled happiness. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A celebration of life will be held July 13th from 1:30pm to 5:00pm at Clubhouse 3 of Lake Carlton Arms Apartments (see separate invite for more information). Amy wished for her farewell to be a relaxed and heartfelt celebration of life where family, friends and coworkers could share memories and find comfort. If you knew Amy and would like to join, you are welcome to stop by at any time during the gathering to enjoy food, reminisce, and spend time in good company. In honor of her memory, we kindly ask that you wear shades of green—her favorite color—so that, as she watches from above, she will see a beautiful sea of green.
