Dear Cousin Amy:

Whenever I looked at you when we were both adults, I saw your Grandma Coseo in you. A simultaneous double pleasure.

I remember babysitting you and Kate, and Muff and the guinea pigs when you were little and I was a teen. “Weep, weep!" they said, and I do.

And I remember an August in the 1980s when most of the office had A Day at the Flat Track, but you, Kate, and I opted for office Let’s Go Caving Day. Good times and undoubtedly quite muddy.

I didn’t see you much in the last decade or so, mostly at sad events like this one, but a few happy ones. I hope it’s good wherever you are, and I’m glad you’re not hurting anymore.

Love, Cousin Jill
