The most fun I can remember, that we both as Reiki practitioners went to the Saratoga hospital to give Reiki to her grandmother Jeanne ( who had MS) and we had such a great time . Then Amy said “ want to see the worm Grandma?”
Of course she said yes! Amy got on the floor and rolled and rocked like nothing I’ve ever seen. The 3 of us laughed so hard! She was hysterical. What a joyful loving beautiful spirit! I know she’s probably showing Grandma Jeanne the worm and some new moves!💜 love

Amy is in everything I am. I often didn't see that truth, and didn't always live by it. But living with her so long filled me up even when I felt alone and imagined that I could act alone. It all was a push and pull, with and against her, apart and together, that added up to love. Complex gritty vibrant forgotten hilarious sad love. I see it now.

She has left us shocked shattered destroyed. Holding a bag she could no longer carry. Somehow it got heavy with an emptiness that defies everything we know about Amy's life. There will never be words equal to the sorrow.

But her bag is open and waiting for the colors petals heart rocks love notes mountain climbs deep talks midnight dance garden art poker games dog romps brainstorms and the outrageous wild love for the world that she was going to collect-savor-share in forty more years of carpe f***ing diem life that she should have had.

Can we fill and carry that bag together? I need your company, your bright wet eyes, your strong backs, your broken wide open hearts.
