Amy's obituary

Amy Lynn Barnett

Amy was born on June 2, 1965, and passed away suddenly on February 24, 2026, at the age of 60.

She is survived by her mother, Barbara D’Angelo Barnett Johnson, and her husband, Ken Johnson. Her father, James M. Barnett, sadly passed away in 2015. She was the oldest of three children; her brother, James (Jimmy) Barnett, passed away in 2019 and is survived by his wife, Laura Barnett. She is also survived by her sister, Kellie Barnett Rigley Roskey, and brother-in-law, Rick Roskey. She is also survived by her stepsister, Sheryl Parsons, and her husband, Rick Parsons, as well as her stepbrother, Sean Johnson, and his wife, Michelle Johnson.

She was previously married three times and had three children and two grandsons. Her eldest daughter, Stefanie Lynn Hall Patterson, is the wife of Jason and mother to Tyler and Ethan. Her second daughter, Tiffany Adams, is building a life with her boyfriend, Julian Martin-Turner, and her youngest and only son, Matthew Barnett, is graduating from Western next week and is building a life with his girlfriend, Grace Anderson.

Despite her most recent marriage to Mark Ledbetter ending in divorce, they remained good friends, and she cared for his children as if they were her own.

She was loved by her nieces and nephews: Joshua Barnett, Jacob Barnett, Jacob and Daniela Turcano, Bella Turcano, Joseph Rigley, Jennifer and Justin King, Melissa and Vince Savino, Jessica Parsons, and Alexa Parsons.

Amy grew up in Fraser and later bought a home in Roseville. Her children were her pride and joy, and she loved showing everyone pictures of them. She cherished her Italian heritage as well as her Irish roots. She loved animals, especially dogs, and would often take in dogs that needed a home—at times caring for as many as three at once.

She was always willing to lend a hand—whether giving someone a ride, jumping a battery, or helping in any way she could. She worked as a waitress for most of her life. She helped her sister get her first waitressing job, and they worked together at Shores Inn for a time. Years later, she hired her daughter Tiffany and taught her how to be an excellent server. She took pride in her work, not only as a server but also as a manager at Ram’s Horn, where she truly felt at home. She worked hard and cared deeply for her coworkers, friends, and customers.

Amy also took on various odd jobs and was never afraid of hard work. She enjoyed landscaping, planting flowers, and moving plants that got just a little too big—“a little to the left or right.” She would trim bushes, pull weeds, and do whatever needed to be done. She loved the autonomy of the work and the time spent outside in the sun.

On her days off, she enjoyed relaxing poolside, listening to her grandsons play at Stefanie’s home. She had her struggles, but who doesn’t? In the end, what matters most is that she loved and was loved by many, and she will be missed by all of us.
