Amparo's obituary
As a proud graduate of Zamboanga General Hospital School of Nursing she came to the United States and furthered her nursing expertise at Vanderbilt University in Tennessee. Soon after moving to New Jersey in 1972, she met the love of her life, her 'mahal', Reynaldo Villena and they married the following year. In 1976, they left the cold winters of the east coast and moved to Daly City, California.
Amparo is survived by her husband of 47 years, Reynaldo, her two children: Raymond Villena (Eleanor Dominguez) and Jennifer Villena Guerrero (Cesar Guerrero), her four grandchildren: Elijah, Ezekiel, Isabella, and Philip, her mother-in-law, Victoria Villena, and her younger brother, Rey Velasquez.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2021 from 2-6 with prayers beginning at 4pm at Olivet Chapel. The funeral will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021 at 12 p.m. at St. Augustin Church. Due to COVID restrictions we will be live streaming both the viewing and funeral for those that cannot attend. Final resting place will be at Zamboanga City, Philippines at a later date.
