Background
We are deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and support in response to the untimely passing of our beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and friend, Dr. Amir Abbassi.
In lieu of flowers, and in celebration of his remarkable life and career, the family are raising funds towards the creation of an endowed scholarship at a Texas university. Amir spent a large part of his career in academia, training the next generation to show up with kindness, compassion and empathy for their patients. This spirit of service endowed every facet of his life. Nothing would be more fitting to carry on this legacy of generosity and care than to provide a scholarship every year to a deserving student to help them advance their academic career. Our goal is to raise $30,000 to establish an endowed scholarship that will carry forward in perpetuity the Dr. Amir Abbassi scholarship.
