Amelia Arlene Richard was born October 22, 1930 to the union of Wardell Kennedy and Marion Kennedy in Detroit, Mi. Mommy was an only child and received her education through the Detroit public school system. She continued her education at Wayne County Community College and Shaw College.

In 1971, mommy was joined in Holy Matrimony to Arthur Rufus Richard and to their union, one child, her pookie… Jermaine Richard, was born.

Amelia, affectionately known as “Mommy” by family and “Red” by friends. She loves to crochet, dance and get her drink on. She loved her old school music, watching westerns, martial arts and WWE. Mommy also was an experienced bartender for many years.

Mommy leaves to cherish her memory of her children, 31 Grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
