Amelia Ibarria
October 22, 1936 -February 22, 2023
Our precious mother Amelia (Melly) Ibarria passed away peacefully on February 22, 2023 at her home in Miami surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Matanzas, Cuba to the late Jose Lorenzo and Esther Freyre.
Melly met the love of her life Antonio Ibarria and moved to New York City in 1955. She moved to Miami in 1980. Her greatest focus was always family. She will be forever known as an incredible wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.
Melly is survived by her husband Antonio; and her children Diana, Anthony and John . Forever cherished and remembered by her grandchildren, Kristofer, Alex, John John, Nina, Alexandra, Allison and AnthonyJr. and sisters Emma and Olga (Nina).
Melly was predeceased by her granddaughter Lauren, her sisters Yolanda (Mimita) and Esther (Tessie) .
She will be missed by all who knew her and were lucky enough to be loved by her.
Her Memorial service will be held on Sunday from 6pm to 10 pm at Memorial Plan Westchester Funeral Home 9800 S W 24 Street, Miami, Fl 33165.
