Amber, you were such a lovely soul. You had a way of making everyone feel truly special.

I’ll never forget how you treated me every step of the way, and how genuine your kindness was. We had plans to see each other again, and though life didn’t give us that chance, the friendship you gave me left a lasting mark.

You reminded me how meaningful true friendship can be. On this two-year anniversary of your passing, I hold on to that lesson and to the warmth you shared. Rest in peace, Amber. You are deeply missed.

Thank you to everyone who was able to make to the memorial service today and for all of the kind words and condolences. Here is the video we made for today. Amber will be missed greatly and forever in our hearts.

It is with much sadness that I received this news of Amber’s passing.  I was able to hug her goodbye at her last place of work and told her I hoped she’d be back in the future . What a wonderful young woman . Her exuberance was like none other.  We will miss her dearly .

I only met you once !!! But you had that THING about you. That. Ability to draw people in, to show them your heart, easily, and that made people trust you easily. Your smile, I remember (I was your manager at cheesecake) you just finished training. And you. LIKE EVERYONE ELSE IN THE HISTORY OF THE COMPANY were struggling a little with the 240 items we have in the menu. But you didn’t get stressed, you laughed. You smiled. You pushed through it. I knew who you were the minute I found out. And it broke my heart. But. I lost my twin brother a few years back. And I FIRMLY believe he takes the best ones early. Your home. Your safe. You’ll never feel pain again. I’m jealous.

You made an impact on the ones you met.

Thank you

Anthony

I was so deeply sorry to hear about Amber's passing. She was such a light to this world and will be missed dearly.
It is with deep sadness I am …
It is with deep sadness I am writing this. My sister Amber Rae Smith is no longer with us. She passed away due to complications from diabetes. She was my first friend, first word, my everything growing up. She had the best ideas and together we had our own world full of them. Following years of ups and downs we had some real moments of connection in the past few years that I’m finding myself clinging on to. I’m clinging even harder to the memories from long before. I had the unique pleasure of knowing who she was deep down. She was creative, thoughtful, weird, fun, imaginative, loving, and had so much love to give. It is my duty as her sister, to make sure her soul is honored in these next few days with my Dad in Seattle. For those who have reached out- thank you ♥️ My Mom and Dad are taking this very hard and would benefit from well wishes and condolences if you are able to reach out to them. Ryan as well. If you have any memories you would like to share- please do.
