Amber Celia Rivera, affectionately known to many as Am or Chila was born on May 9, 1986. Amber sadly departed from us on July 18, 2023. Amber's bright spirit and loving heart will be dearly missed by her surviving family members: her Mother, Rebecca Peterson; her step-father Michael Peterson; step-brother Zachary Peterson her devoted husband, William Powell; and her beloved sons, Godric and Elijah Powell.

Amber joins in rest her predeceased family members: her grandfather Santiago Rodriguez, her grandmother Esther Rodriguez, and her uncles Samuel and Charlie Rodriguez, and her Aunt Myrna Rodriguez. Their fond memories of Amber will continue to live on in our hearts.

A memorial service to celebrate Amber’s life will be held on September 9, 2023, from 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM at Crosswind Church 1510 W Hillsborough Ave. Tampa, FL. Those wishing to honor Amber's life are welcome to join.

Amber graduated from Chamberlain High School, North Boulevard, Tampa, FL in 2004. She found her soul mate in William Powell, whom she married in 2006. Amber’s life was further enriched with the birth of her two sons in 2011 and 2013. Her most defining traits were her strong faith in God and loving, caring, giving, and funny personality. She embodied kindness and generosity, which remain as her enduring legacy.

Among Amber's proudest accomplishments, her two sons, Godric and Elijah, held a special place in her heart. In them, she instilled her life’s best lessons - to live life to the fullest and to be kind and generous to others.

Amber was a very loving and caring daughter, wife, mother, relative, and friend. Her smile had the power to make you feel special, and her zest for life was infectious. She lived life to the fullest and continuously encouraged others to do the same. Amber Rivera was truly a beacon of love and kindness; her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved and knew her.
