Amaris's obituary

  • Amaris was unexpectedly taken from us 23 days after her birthday by suicide (though evidence inclines towards murder). Amaris Garza was 17 and was one of 4 siblings. From the moment Amaris was born, we knew she was destined for great things and she did not disappoint.

Amaris always had a cheering smile even though she carried the weight of the world. From a young age she had experienced abuse. She was bullied for pursuing what she really wanted. It got to the point where she was sexually abused and we didn't get to know until a couple days before her passing. She always was a straight-A student, a basketball, and tennis player. She also liked to skateboard, draw, and sing. Her dream was to go to Harvard but coming from a family with low income she preferred to get a well-paid job to help over her dreams. I know she meant well, I know that she looks upon us from heaven now. ( playing Call of Duty I hope) Funeral services will be held at Cooper cemetery in Windsor, IL 61465 on april 21st at 3:00 pm and all are invited to attend.
