Just 28 days after coming into this world, Amani MacKenzie Kuraishi passed away peacefully in her mama's arms at Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego, California, after suffering an inoperable brain aneurysm. During that fleeting time, Amani touched many lives and was loved by all. Amani was an answer to Alia's prayers, and her brief time on this earth will forever be cherished.

Born nearly 5 weeks early and weighing only four pounds and ten ounces, Amani was able to grip her mama's finger and respond to her voice. She had the most gorgeous dark hair and an adorable button nose. She was such a snuggly baby and could always be consoled by being held. Amani will forever be our Angel Baby, and she will be greatly missed.

Amani is survived by her mother, Alia Kuraishi; Aqdas Kuraishi and Patricia Jordan (grandparents); Jerry DeRosa and Heather MacKenzie (grandparents); David (uncle), Nadia (aunt), and Eli Alden (cousin); Sean (uncle) and Vincent Kuraishi (cousin); May Kuraishi (aunt); Amatullah Kuraishi (great grandmother); and extended family Judy Benegas, Nilofar Kuraishi, Manzar and Jackie Kuraishi, Connie MacKenzie, Rod and Margaret MacKenzie, Darren and Michele Hamilton, Adam and Mirelle McIvor, Matthew and Angela Eadie, Jeremy and Serena Cooper, Robert Chandler and Erin Eadie, Steve and Nishat Gould, Bill MacKenzie and Rachel Bird, Tim Eadie and Linda Ristevski, Alex MacKenzie, and Kerry MacKenzie.
