I'm just now learning of Amanda's passing.  I had not heard from her in several years and thought I'd reach out.  I'm saddened and in disbelieve.  She was so young and full of life.

We met at MCI back in the 90s and stayed close until several years after I relocated to Massachusetts in 2007.  We would see each other when I traveled into town and catch up over long phone conversations.  Last time we spoke, she was at IBM.

I'm so very sorry to read this.  Even though much time had passed since we last spoke, I still considered her one of my very dear friends.  We shared many good times and beautiful memories.

Kate, I hope you are well.  If there's anything I can do for you, please let me know.

Thinking of Amanda today on her birthday. Wanted to send some love and prayers to her family. Thinking about you all.

Kate,
I am your mothers cousin, Dinah’s daughter. I am only learning of her passing today and I am both deeply grieved and shocked. I am sorry that I did not know of her illness for I would have reached out to her, and to you, before now. Your mother was a true force of nature. She had such an infectious laugh, an incredible smile and spirit for fun. She truly lived her faith and that is not something many people can successfully do on a day-to-day basis or in the face of adversity. I know from my conversations with her, though far too few of late, that she loved you with an intensity that was unending and a love that was deeper than anything this world has with which to compare.

I hope her joie de vivre lives within you always and that happy memories will bring you some small comfort.

Amanda and I worked together in our 20's and stayed in touch throughout the years. She had a big heart for people, God and The Saints. She was a very true, loyal friend to all that knew her. Loved, loved her daughter more than she knew. I will miss our hour long talks about work, family and faith, but know she is in a much better place. She will be greatly missed.
Amanda was a true GIFT to me and our work at Beacon of Hope. I loved her persistent positivity, her laugh and her big faith. I loved how much she talked about how she loved Jesus so much. She was a light in every room she walked into. We so enjoyed talking about New Orleans food and our kindred joy of a great meal with special people. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if there is a way that we can help with her memorial. Kate, I was a friend of your mother and I would love to help you how you need me.
I haven’t spoken with my friend for a while now, but she was always in my thoughts. We went to College together many years ago but always managed to stay in touch even if several years had passed. She was always cheerful and happy and a delight to be around. One thing for sure and she made it known to all was how very very proud she was of her daughter. She meant the world to her. Praying for you Kate and your family.
Kate, I am so saddened by the loss of your mom! She was always a joy to talk and I will miss her greatly! I am praying for you and your family.

I am so heartbroken for the loss of my sweet beautiful friend. She was truly fun to be around and I enjoyed our talks and nights out.
I was her spin instructor for 9 years and our spin community sends our love and condolences, Kate. Please let me know if I can help in anyway.

Amanda and I worked together and she was a wonderful person with such a warm and endearing heart. She was a delight to be around.
Amanda i cannot believe you are really gone. This feels like a nightmare. I remember that infectious laugh and how you were always so positive and would light up any room you entered. And how genuine you were.

You will be surely missed. But heaven has a new Angel.

My deepest condolences to your family, she was such a special and unique lady. Kate, if you need anything, please let me know.

Kate, I am so very sorry to hear of the passing of your sweet mother. I always enjoyed talking with her, and she will be missed by those who loved her at Holcomb Springs. The last time we spoke, she was her usual kind and caring self. Please know that she loved you dearly and was very proud of you. Please don’t ever doubt her love for you. She is now your guardian angel. With deepest sympathy, Marcia
