Amy's obituary

Amanda Gayle – Amy – Rowe Johnson was born October, 1974, in Houston to Johnnie Shadrick (Ricky) Rowe and Anna Beth Ficklin Rowe.

Amy tragically departed this earth August 26, 2024, at her home in Friendswood, Texas, because of an extreme asthma attack.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Ricky in March 1991 and Anna Beth in May 2001.

Amy had one child, a daughter, Charlize Bethany Johnson, born 2008.

Amy graduated from Pasadena High School in 1992.  Amy worked as a cashier and floral arranger moving up to floral manager and then a floor manager for Kroger in Pasadena, Tx.  She later began working in insurance and received a commercial insurance agent certification.

Amy’s presence in our lives was a gift, and she will be profoundly missed by friends, sisters, her aunts and cousins with whom, despite the geographical distance, she made the effort to remain close.

One of her co-workers made a comment on Amy’s photo posted to Facebook: “Regardless of anything going on in her life, I never saw that girl in a bad mood. We are truly blessed to have known such a pure soul.”

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Mosheim Methodist Church, 3224 FM 217, Mosheim, Tx., 2 p.m., Saturday, September 21st, 2024.

Tributes can be made in Amy’s memory to the Mosheim Methodist Church, in care of Pastor Susan Mathis or to the Asthma & Allergy Foundation of America (https://aafa.org)
