Aloha,
Although time has passed, I wanted Dr. O'Kelly's family to know she is still remembered with great respect, admiration, and appreciation from myself and other at-risk youth she serviced while a psychiatrist for the Department of Health, Family Court Liaison Branch at the Hawaii Youth Correctional Facility. She made a meaningful impact through her work, offering care, patience, understanding, and a genuine authenticity to help others in need (even while coping with her own medical challenges). Dr. O'Kelly helped many people and that kind of legacy does not fade with time and continues in the lives she helped.
It's been over a year and hope you find comfort in the memories shared and in knowing how much she was valued!

My deepest heartfelt condolences to Amanda's family and friends. She was very unique, spunky and boldly went after her dreams. She was one of the smartest kids in our highschool with genius level intelligence. I remember when our trigonometry teacher, Mr. Kane, was shocked to find her doodling Fibonacci's spiral in her notebook (in purple ink, of course!) I will keep her in my prayers always. May she rest peacefully for eternity with Our Lord. Sincerely, Angela Moore (Scannella)
