Amanda's obituary

It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Amanda "Manda" Layou, who left us far too soon on October 17, 2025. Amanda was born on September 11, 1991, and enjoyed a life full of color and joy.

Amanda, fondly known as Manda, will forever be cherished by her loving family, her mother Saundra, her father Shawn, her brothers Shawn, Matthew, and Christopher, and her sister Erica. She also leaves behind sister-in-laws Nicole and Christina, who brought additional love and support into the family, as well as her loving grandmother Sandra Kovaleski. Amanda held a special place in her heart for her 12 nieces and nephews who truly meant the world to her.

Amanda was predeceased by her beloved grandparents, Richard Kovaleski, Joseph Layou, and Rosemarie Layou who provided her unconditional love and guidance throughout the early stages of her life.

Known for her bubbly personality, Amanda was also remarkably caring and outgoing. Her resilience during difficult times was admired by all who knew her, as she taught us how to remain strong in the face of adversity. Her teal-colored world was filled with her favorite films, 'Little Mermaid' and 'The Nightmare Before Christmas', and she loved spending quality time with her family.

Local treasures like Disney and the ocean brought Amanda immense joy and served as her favorite places to unwind and connect with nature. Her loss has left a void that cannot be filled, but her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

We bid farewell to Amanda, but her laughter, her spirit, and the memories she has left us with will forever remind us of the beautiful soul that once lit up our world. May she find eternal peace and happiness in her next journey.
