Mandi's obituary

Amanda "Mandi" Lee Powell Fryman, 33, passed away on May 11, 2025, in Lexington, KY. Born on November 8, 1991, Mandi brought light and energy into the world from her earliest days.

A graduate of Bourbon County High School’s Class of 2010, she went on to become a Certified Medical Assistant, with a compassion of helping others. Most recently, she worked at Chloe's House-Altruism Counseling's women's sober living home, where her empathy made a lasting impact.

Mandi's greatest joys and the center of her world were her son, JP Price and her daughter HensleyAnne Hunt. She is also lovingly remembered by her stepmom “Mama,” Josie Crawford; her mother and stepfather, Beth and Brad Bradford; her sister, Shelby Powell; nephew Bodhi Powell; brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Rachael Powell; niece Sadie Powell; half-brother Will Thompson; stepbrothers Bennett (Kristen) Bradford and Kyle Bradford; and step-nieces Laurel and Iris Bradford.

She is mourned by a wide circle of aunts and uncles: Stefanie Powell & Scott Richards, Karen & Scott Vanfossen, Jennie Crawford, Missie & Russ Murphey, and Tim & Stacey Crawford—as well as great aunts, great uncles, numerous cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

Mandi was preceded in death by her loving and dedicated father, Johnny Ellis Powell II; grandparents Wilma Kaye & Johnny Ellis Powell, Joseph Neal & Mildred Brashear Crawford; and Robert Lee Hensley, several great aunts, great uncles, and cousins.

Mandi's spirit was inquisitive, smart, energetic, and deeply loving. Sunflowers were her favorite flowers and will forever remind us of her radiant soul.

Celebrations of Life will be held at later dates.
