Amanda "Elise" Mae Lopez (nee Brewton), age 80, passed away after a lengthy illness. Amanda was born in Meadville, Pennsylvania in 1939. She graduated from Meadville High School in 1956. Amanda later moved to Cleveland, Ohio where she married, worked and raised a family. She retired from Ohio Bell after 35 years. Amanda relocated to Houston, Texas for several years before returning to Cleveland in 2013. In recent years she attended Cedar Hill Baptist Church.

Amanda enjoyed traveling, having visited Spain, Morocco, Alaska, Hawaii, and the Caribbean. She was an avid reader, particularly of mystery novels. She also loved watching the Cleveland Indians baseball team and drinking good coffee.

Amanda was the beloved mother of Lynn Gabriel, Wayne Lopez and Tracy Manzanares (José); loving grandmother of Michael (Erica), Tiana, Kenan (Mykka), Cara and Alana; great-grandmother of Alex, Julius, Nathan, Quentin, Kaydence, Kendall and Autumn; dear sister of Lillian Carter (Freddy, deceased), Curtis Brewton (Chris), Richard Brewton (Mary) and the late John Brewton and Lorraine Copeland.
