Alvin “Al” Richard Yaworski, of Newcastle, Ontario, Canada, passed from this life, at home, on October 24th, 2020, with his beloved family at his side.

Al was born to parents John and Mary Yaworski, on February 23, 1948, in Preeceville, Saskatchewan. Al worked for General Motors of Canada, as a quality-control and shipping and receiving engineer. He retired after 35 years of service in 2003. Al was known best in the golfing community where he shared his joy and passion for the game, weekly with friends. He will forever be known as a straight-shot on the long drives and a penny-gambler on the holes - sure to leave his golf mates' pockets dry. Al also had an affinity for the outdoors, gardening, and limitless DIY projects. His infectious positive spirit shone the brightest during his valiant and relentless battle with cancer. He will be remembered as a stalwart gentleman and a charismatic warrior - until the very end.

He married Madeleine Vermette, the love of his life and the very echo of his existence, in 1968, therefore just celebrating 52 years together. Al is also survived by son Richard Yaworski and wife Tracy Yaworski, and daughter Nicole Yaworski; his grandchildren, Ashleigh Zegers and husband James Zegers, Crystal Lewis-Yaworski and her partner Christian Pedias, and Kaelynn Yaworski; as well as his precious great-grandchildren, Isabelle Bay and Maci Zegers.

Al also leaves to cherish his memory, his brother Ronald Yaworski and wife Lucille Yaworski, sister Rosalyn Campbell, sister-in-law Nadia Yaworski, and many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and dear friends too numerous to mention.

Al was predeceased by parents John and Mary Yaworski, parents-in-law Alexander Vermette and Alice Vermette; his brother Gerald Yaworski and sister Vivian Ryan; his brother-in-law(s) Rodney Campbell, Marcelle Vermette, Michel Vermette, and sister-in-law(s) Annette Vermette, Jolayne Vermette, and Linda Vermette; and his nephew(s) Bruce Campbell, Christopher Yaworski, and Billy-John Yaworski. May they all welcome his spirit into the afterlife with open arms.
