Alvin's obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Alvin Thomas Jr., on April 3, 2025. Alvin was born on August 16, 1983, and in his 41 years, he touched many lives with his vibrant personality and unyielding strength.
Alvin is survived by his loving wife, Jessica Thomas, and their dedicated children Maurice Jeter, Maya Thomas, and Tre’Sean Thomas. Each of them was a beam of joy in Alvin's life, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
Having served as a brave Officer in the Military in 2015, Alvin was a symbol of courage and dedication. His family moved to Dayton, Ohio in 2020, where he continued to impact the community through his character and actions.
Alvin was a man of distinct tastes, evident in his love for Fried Chicken and the ever-refreshing Shirley Temple. He was an avid reader and held Harper Lee's "To Kill a Mockingbird" close to his heart. His musical preferences included Jeezy and T.I., resonating with his Atlanta roots.
Alvin was a passionate follower of The Atlanta Falcons and The Georgia Bulldogs. Off the field, he enjoyed playing Monopoly and Taboo, and watching his favorite TV show, Cops, and movie, The Lion King. He treasured the music from Atlanta and often found solace in gaming and listening to music.
His favorite ways to exercise included running, lifting weights, and performing planks. He enjoyed vacationing in the Bahamas, while locally, he often frequented Wingstop and Buffalo Wild Wings. Above all, he held his family in the highest regard, considering their needs and happiness paramount to his.
With red being his favorite color, Alvin carried the vibrancy and strength associated with it throughout his life. His son Maurice, along with the rest of his family and friends, will greatly miss his dynamic presence.
Let us remember Alvin not for his departure, but the enriching life he led, his valiant service, and the abiding affection he held for his loved ones. Rest in peace, Alvin, your memory will forever live in our hearts.
