It is with sorrowful hearts that we announce the passing of Alvin P. de Lande, a man of remarkable depth, humor, wisdom, and warmth. Alvin was born on the 18th of November, 1960, and left us too soon on the 30th of June, 2024.

Known for his lively spirit and quick wit, Alvin brought laughter and joy wherever he went. His humor, far from simply being a means of amusement, was in many ways a beacon of light, casting a glow of warmth and comfort in times of darkness and difficulty.

Wisdom was another defining quality of his personality. Alvin held a unique perspective of the world, informed by a lifetime of experiences and reflections. This wisdom  made him a confidante and mentor to many.

His greatest lesson, perhaps, was demonstrating how to find strength in adversity and how to care for a family. Through his actions, Alvin taught that being strong wasn't just about weathering the storms of life alone, but also about wrapping loved ones in the shield of your strength, guiding them, and providing for them.

Although we mourn Alvin’s passing, we celebrate the wonderful man he was, and the invaluable lessons he imparted. As we remember him, we are reminded of the echoes of laughter, the words of wisdom, and the lesson of strength that marked his life.

He will be honored with a private cremation service.
