Alta's obituary
Sue Anderson, age 68, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 surrounded by her family.
Sue was a former florist that dedicated her heart and soul into every creation making many special memories for countless loved ones and friends. She enjoyed creating hand made memories with a needle and thread, she also found joy decorating her home with a flair. She spent many hours cooking meals for holidays and birthdays and the highlight of her day was seeing her family together at supper. She loved talking on the phone for hours giving unsolicited advice with love and candor with a leading tag line of “I’m not telling you what to do but”… for the truth she was about to give.
She was the daughter of the late Alvie and Annie Mae (Bass) Holtsford. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald L. Anderson, two brothers, Joe and Allen “Glen” Holtsford, one sister Alma “Jean” Catlett, and her beloved dog Courtney.
Sue is survived by her two sons Tony (Kim) Anderson of Granite City, Illinois and Jeffrey “Todd” (Melissa) Anderson of Madison, Illinois, one sister, Alvina “Annette” Minor of Potosi, Missouri, grandchildren Gage, Megan, Katie, Tyler, Kiley, Hannah, Riley and Karee and many nieces and nephews. Also, a very special friend, Talena Jordan, of Granite City, Illinois.
Friends may call at the Kassly Funeral Home at 515 Vandalia in Collinsville, Ill on Friday September 25, 2020 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Services will be conducted by Rev. Henry Crippin at 1:00 PM.
