Alpharetta's obituary
Alpharetta "Fretta" DuBois, 72, of Junction City, KS, passed away on March 03, 2023 after a long battle with coronary heart disease
Alpharetta was born on June 5th, 1950 to James and Ruth Jefferson in Kansas City, Kansas. After graduating from Junction City High School in 1968, she went on to study Nursing at Wichita State University.
After graduation, she dedicated her life to serve her country. She served in the army as a cook for 15 years.
In 1972, she met Larry DuBois, and they wed in 1974, going on to have 3 children, Anthony Jefferson, Andre Holloway, and Ashley DuBois.
When Alpharetta had Anthony, she decided to dedicate her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother. Alpharetta excelled at propping up Anthony, Andre, Ashley, and Larry and supporting them through the many passions and difficulties of their lives. Whether that was supporting Anthony through basketball or supporting Andre through a difficult time in his life, she made it her mission to improve the lives of others.
Alpharetta was a passionate chef and when she wasn’t filling her home with warmth and kindness, she could be found in her kitchen practicing her cooking skills. We will miss her greatly.
