AD's obituary

Alonza “AD” Durward Gibson

Born: 8/4/95

Died: 9/3/24

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of AD Gibson, cherished husband, brother, grandson and friend, on 9/3/24, at the age of 29. He passed away after a very long and hard battle against AML since March 2023, and complications of GVHD after a stem cell transplant in May of this year.

AD was born and raised in Madison, Tennessee. He married Grace Gibson on 4/18/21 and together they built a life filled with love and cherished memories.

AD Gibson will be deeply missed by his loving spouse, family, friends, church members, and anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. AD was known for his ability to uplift any room he walked in to, help out a stranger whenever needed, his Mr-Fix-It methods, his contagious smile and laugh, the unique knowledge of anything and everything, love of Christ, passion projects, as well as a dedicated and loyal husband, brother, and friend. AD touched the lives of many and will be remembered for his kindness, loyalty, dedication to his family and friends, love of Disc Golf, Tennessee (Go Vols!), trains, fishing, the outdoors, traveling and so much more.

As many of you know, his mother-figure grandmother Mary Jo  passed the following morning. A joint visitation service will be held on 9/11/24, from 12-3 at Hendersonville Memorial Garden. We invite family and friends to celebrate AD’s life  and share their memories of such a wonderful man. A future celebration of his life will be held at a later date.

A GoFundMe has been established, if anyone would like to send donations please access the link below.

Hey there! I wanted to share a GoFundMe for Grace, who is facing a really tough time after losing her husband AD to cancer. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a difference and help her through this challenging period. If you could take a moment to donate or share the link, it would mean a lot. Thank you!
