Personal note from Julie

From Julie:
It was my honor and privilege to take care of my grandmother for the last two years. I had so much fun with my Grammy! I enjoyed taking her on adventures, to the beach, to Disney, to Celebration to sit in the rocking chairs and look out at the lake. We went on boat rides and to see fireworks. We went for rides in the car and to get her nails done. We went out to eat and went shopping. And in her end days we sat and watched Price Is Right and Boy Meets World. I fed her and cared for her and prayed for her and loved her. She could always make me laugh and we laughed together a lot.
She was such a big part of my life for my whole life and I will miss her immensely. But I am so happy that she is walking in the garden with Jesus and reunited with her son, Stas. I'm relieved that she is no longer in pain. I'm comforted by the fact that I will see her again in heaven!
From Cyndi:
For the last two years one of my childhood dreams came true, I got to live in the same place as my Nana and not only that, I was given the gift of caring for her until her final day. Though she may have forgotten who I was, she always knew I was her girl and she was mine. We spent days together dancing, playing music and most importantly- laughing. I’ve never laughed the way I laughed with her, and I think I’ll miss that the most. She and I used to watch our shows together every day, and I’ll always remember how she would get excited for a new episode of Survivor (because she knew I loved it.) I did my best to keep her entertained and I know she loved every minute. We were fortunate to give her as many adventures as we could and kept her comfortable until she peacefully left us. She was my best friend for my whole life and I will forever cherish that. I will keep dancing just for her. She is walking in the garden with Jesus now, just like her favorite Hymn and I have such peace knowing that and knowing she is no longer suffering.
