Alma's obituary

Alma Selene Hendrick (Lene) was born on September 6, 1971. She departed this life on Thursday, February 22, 2024 in Los Angeles, California.

 Alma grew up in South Hill, Virginia, but lived in Los Angeles for 23 years. She was the second born daughter of the late Elmer Hendrick, Jr. and the late Oretha Ann Hendrick. 

 Alma was a sweet and loving person whose gentle personality warmed all who met her. She graduated from Park View Senior High in 1989. She attended Longwood University. 

Alma was baptized at an early age at Flat Rock Baptist Church in Lunenburg County. 

She leaves to cherish in her loving memory her two sisters, Angela Watson and Yolanda Hendrick-Williams, her two nephews, Cameron Williams and Jameson Williams. Two aunts Virginia Washington and Elizabeth Jiggetts. Cousins Alice Winn Brown, Wanda Miles, Diane Valentine, LaTonya Winn, Delores Simmons, Tonia Simmons, Tara Simmons-Archie, Joyce Hendrick Bruce, William Jiggetts Jr., Larry Hendrick and Mary Watson. Alma has hundreds of cousins including the Hendrick family, the Watson, the Winn family, the Wilson, the Baskerville and the Coleman family. Special appreciation to her friend Beverly Burton of Los Angeles.

Funeral Arrangements will be carried out by the Cremation Society of Los Angeles.
