Allon's obituary
Born in 1944 on August 31st, Allon was the fourth child for Dorothy and Wade Barnes. Allon has three older sisters who adored his antics as a child, and forged deep adult friendships with their baby brother. Wanita, Charlotte, Clarice and Allon grew up in Kalispell MT, then went out into the world. Four younger sisters followed after Wade and Dorothy divorced. Wade married Shirley and Bonnie, Barbra and Beverly were born. Dorothy married George Darrow and Ardiss was born.
After High School Allon joined the Navy, where he was able to travel and see the world. Many of his favorite times were out at sea aboard his beloved ships- USS Wabash, USS Tulare, and many others! He loved sharing stories of his enlistment. Always willing to help other Veterans, Allon greeted anyone wearing Navy logo clothing as a long lost friend, often pausing tasks to swap stories and tales in grocery aisles.
Allon’s Post-Navy careers included Retail Management in a variety of stores, Commercial Driving- anything from custom RVs to river rafting busses. Allon volunteered in his community by delivering Meals On Wheels, working in several soup kitchens, Idaho Foodbank, and the Civic Theatre. He kept busy with odd jobs such as floor care and building maintenance.
Allon raised three children, Nicole, Nathanial and Nicolis in the CA Bay Area, and relocated to Olympia WA in 1989. Allon met Tracy and settled into a loving marriage full of memories. Allon died at home Sept 19th, 2021 and left three children- Nicole (Barnes) Moss, Nathanial Barnes and Nicolis Barnes, 8 Grand Children- Katherine, Camron, Cora, Robert, Nikki, Taylor, Tirrill, Garrett, and six Great Grand Children. Allon was preceded in death by his sisters Charlotte and Barbara, and a Grand Child Garrett.
