Background
Our family is heartbroken to announce the passing of Allister M. Sampson on Saturday, July 22, 2023.
Allister was wonderful father, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend who touched the lives of those around him.
Allister was a very active person he took pride in his job as an arborist who took pride in landscaping and tree cutting.
He was also very passionate about the San Francisco 49ers football team. He loved to cook and enjoyed being with his family.
Last year Allister was diagnosed with Stage 3 Melanoma and Lymphoid Cancer. These past months have been filled with many emotions, denial and shock but to say the least an overwhelming amount of resiliency.
If you know our Allister, you know he is one strong man. Never once have I, or anyone else, heard him complain or ask "why me?" instead, he has been making sure all of us are okay as we navigate this difficult time and has been awaiting new and different steps he can take to fight this disease.
Allister is truly the definition of strength and hope even with all the hospital visits and medical appointments he still remained strong and has always said to us “ if it’s my time to go then it’s my time “.
We have learned many lessons our entire life from my dad but this one will forever take the cake; there are no excuses in life, accepting the un-accepted and remaining a positive attitude filled with hope and strength.
Allister's death was unexpected, we thought we would have a little more time to get things organized. we don't have the funds we need to pay for his funeral. Anything donated will be used to offset funeral costs. Any donations beyond our goal will be used to go towards his medical expenses .
