Allison's obituary

Allison Marie Marcum

December 11, 1991 – October 18, 2025

Allison “Skeeter” Marie Marcum, age 33, of Canal Winchester, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on October 18, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty that will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew her.

Born and raised in Baltimore, Ohio, Allison was the daughter of Mike and Cheryl Marcum. She graduated from Liberty Union Thurston Local Schools, where she made countless memories and lifelong friendships.

From a young age, she had a special gift for connecting with animals. That passion grew into her life’s purpose and career as the proud owner of Marcum K9 Obedience, where she built a reputation as an incredible and compassionate dog trainer.

Allison began her journey in 2009 as a kennel technician at her father’s franchise. Her dedication led her back to school, where she became a certified professional dog trainer before opening her own successful business. She believed that understanding a dog’s psychology and emotion came from truly observing their behavior, and she poured her heart into every animal she trained. Through years of hands-on experience, Allison helped countless families integrate loving, well-balanced dogs into their homes. She specialized in aggressive dog rehabilitation, in home obedience training, service dog training, and puppy development. . Her work wasn’t just about obedience; it was about building love, trust, and respect between humans and their companions.

Her own beloved dogs—Macy, Rocco, and Mason—were her pride and joy. They were her kids, her travel buddies, her soulmates. You rarely saw Allison without one of them beside her. Whether working, hiking, attending family functions or simply running errands around town, she made sure they were part of everything she did.

Allison was beautiful, inside and out, a true beauty queen. Allison’s bright smile and boundless energy made her unforgettable. She had a way of lighting up any room she walked into, and her laughter was contagious—pure, genuine, and full of life. She was confident, funny, and unafraid to be herself—playful, a little mischievous, and always ready to make someone laugh. She loved deeply and lived boldly. She was strong-willed, hardworking, and determined to chase every goal she set for herself with passion and pride.. She was kind, loyal, and deeply devoted to her family, whom she adored. She was and will remain forever, a proud daddy’s girl.

She is survived by her parents Mike (Kira) Marcum and Cheryl Marcum (Kenny Krendel); sister Danielle Couch; brothers Bryan Marcum (Kayla Crutcher) and Chris (Tiffany) Marcum; nephews Kobe, C.J., Kaiden, Brody, Charlie, Jimmy, and Landon; aunt Patti Morrow; uncles Jerry Marcum, Ed Decker, and Timmy Decker; as well as many cousins and friends who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Jim and Ina Marcum, grandmother Grace Reynolds, grandfather Richard J Decker, uncle Ted Morrow, Uncle Ricky Decker and cousin Ben Morrow.

Allison lived every day with joy, purpose, and love. She poured her heart into her work, her family, her friends, and her dogs. Her light was one of a kind—a spark that touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Though her time here was far too short, her spirit will continue to guide and inspire those she leaves behind.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
