Allen's obituary

Allen McKeever, Jr, age 56 of Shreveport, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, July 12, 2022. He was born to the late Allen and Ida Mae Gay McKeever on July 31, 1965. Allen accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age at St. Elmo Baptist Church. He received his formal education at Northwood Jr. Sr. High School. Shortly after high school, Allen enlisted in the United States Navy. During his time as a seaman, he was stationed in San Diego CA. During his military time, he was on the Western Pacific tour his last three years of his enlistment. He left the military with the rank of Petty Officer Third Class. He worked as a cement truck driver for over twenty-five years before being medically retired. Many people would say he was a hardworking, generous man who was well-respected by his friends and a great provider to his family.

In his leisure time, Allen enjoyed watching football and wrestling. Other hobbies included hanging out with friends and family. He loved his momma’s cooking and was known for providing wise counsel to those around him. Allen McKeever lived a full, blessed life. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Eric McKeever and his son, Jaylen McKeever.

He is survived by his sister: Debra Ann McKeever, brothers: Edward Dwayn (Tina) McKeever and Jeremy Christopher McKeever. Children: Allen M. McKeever, Abril (McKeever) Simington, Christian McKeever; grandchildren: Maria, Jordan, Avery, Jr., Lucas, Kameron, and Kinsley.

Nieces and nephews: Natasha McKeever, LaTiffany Smith, Jonathan Codrington, Shekinah, Destine, and Devin Roberts; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins
